The agreement includes a clause that in January 2025, the N80,000 Niger State minimum wage shall be implemented to 80 percent from the 70 percent to be paid in November and December 2024.

The communique also stated that the shortfall for some levels of health workers and tertiary institutions workers is to be augmented from the savings of doctored tables, such that no worker will receive less than 20 percent of what was paid in September 2024. All corrections should be within the approved lump sum of N1.6 billion by the State Governor.

The SEC, in session, appreciated Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago, Deputy Governor Comrade Yakubu Garba, Head of Service, and Commissioner of Finance for the approval of the N80,000 minimum wage.

The communique further explained that there is room for amendment before the payment of November 2024 salaries, emphasizing that another opportunity for amendment is there in January 2025.
