BREAKING: Nigerian Army Unveil Targets Abia Youths For Recruitment

The Nigerian Army has kicked off a targeted awareness campaign across Abia State to encourage young men and women to participate in its ongoing recruitment for the 90 Regular Recruit Intake (90 RRI).

According to a statement issued by Lt. Anna Tsaku, Acting Assistant Director, Army Public Relations, 14 Brigade Ohafia on Thursday, the sensitisation drive was part of broader efforts to inform and guide potential applicants through the recruitment process.

The initiative follows the official opening of the online application portal on September 19, giving eligible Nigerian youths the opportunity to begin their application journey.

“This application provides a unique opportunity for young Nigerians to enlist in the Nigerian Army and serve the nation with pride, courage and honour,” the statement read.

The Army emphasised that the goal of the campaign is not only to raise awareness but also to attract the right calibre of recruits.

According to the statement, “The Nigerian Army remains committed to attracting disciplined and dedicated young people who are ready to defend Nigeria’s territorial integrity and contribute to national security.”

Lt. Tsaku noted that the recruitment process offers more than just enlistment—it’s a pathway to a meaningful and structured career. “Successful candidates will undergo comprehensive military training and gain access to diverse career paths,” she stated.

As part of the campaign, youths across Abia are being urged to visit the official recruitment portal, [www.recruitment.army.mil.ng](http://www.recruitment.army.mil.ng), to complete their applications and carefully follow the provided guidelines.

The Army also stressed that the process is entirely transparent and free of cost. “The Nigerian Army reiterates that the recruitment process is completely free of charge.
