The Nigerian Postal Service has announced a set of ambitious changes designed to transform the institution into a modern entity focused on innovation and digital advancement.
In a statement issued on Monday by Franklin Alao, the Director of Corporate Communications, NIPOST announced that the ongoing reforms, themed “Change of Renewed Hope Berths at NIPOST Shores,” are designed to align the agency with international best practices. These efforts aim to cater to the needs of Nigeria’s expanding digital economy and support President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
“A major highlight of the reform package is the transition to a fully cashless system. Beginning July 1, 2025, all Post Office counters nationwide will no longer accept cash payments for their services. Customers will be required to use approved electronic channels for all transactions,” statement reads in part.
