Tension is rising in Ogbomoso following the abduction of 46 pupils and their teachers in Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State, as angry youths have threatened to embark on mass protests if the victims are not rescued before the end of the week.

The youths reportedly stormed the palace in Ogbomoso to express their frustration over the worsening security situation.
