The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has expelled the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, former Ekiti State Governor Ayo Fayose, and several other top-ranking members over alleged anti-party activities and repeated violations of the party’s constitution.
The sweeping sanction, one of the most significant disciplinary actions taken by the opposition party in recent years, was confirmed on Saturday after a crucial session of the National Working Committee (NWC).
In a statement made available to LeadNaija News, the party said the affected members were found guilty of conduct “inimical to the unity, stability, and electoral fortunes of the PDP.”
