The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has expelled former Rivers State Governor and current Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, effectively ending his long-standing affiliation with the opposition party.
A statement circulating from party insiders on Tuesday confirmed that Wike is no longer a member of the PDP, following what officials described as “actions and activities incompatible with the party’s principles.”
On Tuesday The PDP has to release an official Certificate of expulsion detailed communiqué, senior party figures revealed that the decision followed months of internal disagreements, allegations of anti-party activities during the last general election, and Wike’s continued collaboration with the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
