The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has published the provisional list of governorship candidates and their running mates for the June 20, 2026, Ekiti State election but the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) is missing.
While 12 other political parties successfully submitted their candidates, the name of PDP’s flagbearer, Dr. Wole Oluyede, a medical expert who emerged from the November 9, 2025, primary conducted under the Umar Damagum-led National Working Committee (NWC), does not appear on the list displayed at INEC’s state headquarters along New Iyin Road, Ado-Ekiti.+See more details
