Governors, ministers, traditional rulers and regional stakeholders met in Akure, Ondo State, for the Southwest Leaders’ Dialogue to advocate power devolution, true federalism and stronger regional cooperation.

Host Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa praised President Bola Tinubu’s reforms for stabilising the economy and strengthening state–federal collaboration. He highlighted key federal projects in Ondo State and called for institutional reforms to deepen democracy.

Lagos Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu urged a unified regional agenda for growth, while Chief Bisi Akande and Pa Reuben Fasoranti called for genuine federalism and cooperation beyond party lines.
Traditional rulers also backed continued dialogue to promote unity and development across the South-West.
