French club Strasbourg have reached an agreement with defender Ismaël Doukouré over a new contract that will keep him at the club until June 2028.
The highly-rated 21-year-old, who had just one year left on his previous deal, was attracting strong interest from clubs in England and Germany. However, Strasbourg stood firm, rejecting multiple bids to secure his long-term future.
Doukouré has emerged as a key figure in the team’s defence and is considered one of the brightest young prospects in French football.
According to reports, Strasbourg coach Liam Rosenior and the BlueCo ownership group played a crucial role in convincing the player to remain at the club despite foreign interest.
The new deal is seen as a massive boost for Strasbourg as they aim to build a competitive squad for the coming seasons.
