Armed terrorists have reportedly attacked a forest community in Kwara State, killing five forest security personnel, including a unit commander, during a coordinated assault.
Security sources say the attackers also set several operational vehicles ablaze before escaping the area. The incident has raised fresh concerns over worsening insecurity in forest corridors within the state.
Authorities are expected to launch further response operations as investigations continue into the attack.
