President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Thursday night departed Yokohama, Japan, for Brazil to begin a state visit scheduled for August 24.
The President is expected to have a brief stopover in Los Angeles before continuing his trip to Brasilia, the Brazilian capital.
Tinubu had arrived in Japan on August 18 after a stopover in Dubai, UAE, as part of his two-nation visit which began on August 15 when he left Abuja.
While in Japan, the President participated in the opening ceremony and plenary of the 9th Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD9) on August 20.
