The U.S. President Donald J. Trump has officially withdrawn his support for Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia, escalating tensions within the MAGA movement.
In a statement released on his social media channels, Trump said:
“I am withdrawing my support and endorsement of ‘Congresswoman’ Marjorie Taylor Greene, of the Great State of Georgia.”
Trump criticized Greene for what he described as constant complaints and for moving “Far Left” politically. He alleged that the issues began after he shared a poll with her indicating she had only 12% support and was unlikely to succeed in a Senate or gubernatorial race without his backing — which she refused to seek.
The president also confirmed that he fully supports a primary challenge against Greene, signaling deepening fractures within the MAGA faction ahead of future electionsn.
Political analysts say Trump’s withdrawal of support could significantly impact Greene’s political trajectory and reshape power dynamics among pro-Trump candidates in Georgia.
