Armed bandits believed to be loyal to notorious kingpin, Bello Turji, have attacked Bargaja village in Isa Local Government Area of Sokoto State, killing several people and abducting many others.
According to security analyst, Bakatsine, who disclosed the incident in a post on X on Saturday, the attack happened on Friday night.
He said at least ten residents, mostly young women, were taken away by the gunmen, while one person was left seriously injured.
“Yesterday night, bandits loyal to Bello Turji stormed Bargaja village in Isa LGA, Sokoto State, leaving several people dead. One person was seriously injured and at least 10 residents mostly young women were abducted,” Bakatsine wrote.
As of the time of filing this report, authorities have yet to issue an official statement regarding the incident.
