U.S. President Trump has asked Israeli President Isaac Herzog to consider granting a pardon to Netanyahu in his corruption cases.
Herzog’s office responded: We appreciate the American president, but Netanyahu must submit an official request according to the established procedures.
Israel’s opposition leader Yair Lapid: We remind you that the law requires an admission of guilt and remorse before a pardon can be issued.
Israeli Minister of National security Ben Gvir said: We tell President Herzog, listen to Trump and issue a pardon for Netanyahu in the fabricated cases, because that is the right thing to do.
