A 32-year-old Zimbabwean national has been remanded in custody after appearing before the Giyani Magistrate’s Court following his arrest in connection with a large dagga seizure in the Giyani policing area.

The accused, identified as Lovers Moyo, made his court appearance on Friday, where the matter was postponed to 12 June 2026 for a formal bail application and further police investigations.

Moyo was arrested on 3 June 2026 during an operation carried out by a private security company working alongside the South African Police Service.
