Kaduna’s Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has clarified that the N25.9 million seized by police during the Saturday by-election was intended for the welfare of over 5,000 party agents, not vote-buying, as alleged by authorities.

Kaduna PDP states seized N25.9 million was for welfare, not vote-buying.Funds were meant to support 6,000 party agents across 169 polling units.

PDP chairman Edward Masha claims election logistics costs were misinterpreted.Masha alleges harassment and intimidation by security forces.

PDP accuses APC of weaponizing state institutions against them.

The PDP maintains that the funds seized were intended for legitimate election logistics, not to influence voters. The party continues to face accusations of electoral misconduct but insists that the allegations are politically motivated.
