Despite mounting rumours that the Ecuadorian midfielder may join Real Madrid, Enzo Fernandez has stated that he wants Moises Caicedo to remain at Chelsea.
Based on his current form, Caicedo, 24, is being praised by many as the world’s best midfielder. He has been one of the Premier League’s most impressive players this season. His Estimated Transfer Value has achieved an all-time high of €114.1 million, making him among the top 15 most valuable players internationally. The Chelsea star further improved his image with a commanding showing in the Blues’ 1-0 triumph over Tottenham Hotspur last weekend.
Real Madrid is reportedly closely monitoring Caicedo as manager Xabi Alonso wants to bolster his midfield options, according to reports in Spain. Real hasn’t yet made an official move for the player, despite the increasing interest. Caicedo’s Chelsea contract is set to expire in 2031, but the team is apparently preparing to present him with a better offer before the year is up.
Enzo Fernandez commended his midfield partner’s attitude and value to the team in remarks made following the victory over Spurs. Fernandez stated on Chelsea’s official website, “I have nothing but praise for him.” He works hard every day, is modest, and always tries his hardest. He’s a machine, and I’m so glad he’s here. I hope things stay this way.
Although Fernandez has been connected to Real Madrid in recent months, it seems doubtful that he will leave Stamford Bridge. As a result, prior to the January transfer window, the Spanish powerhouses are anticipated to focus on other midfield targets including Vitinha, Alexis Mac Allister, Adam Wharton, and Angelo Stiller.
