Coalition: ADC Pledges Unity Of Atiku, Obi, Amaechi Ahead of 2027 Elections

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has assured Nigerians that prominent political leaders, including Atiku Abubakar, Peter Obi, and Rotimi Amaechi, will remain united in their mission to transform the country ahead of the 2027 elections, regardless of who emerges as the party’s presidential candidate.

The assurance was given by the ADC’s Deputy National Publicity Secretary, Jackie Wayas, in an interview on ^ READ MORE Monday.

Wayas said the party is still deliberating on whether to zone its presidential ticket or adopt an open primary system, adding that the final decision will be determined by internal negotiations and guidelines of the National Executive Committee (NEC) before the national convention.

“There is a lot of pressure to zone and, at the same time, not to zone the presidential ticket.

There can only be one presidential candidate on the ballot come 2027 from the ADC, and the final decision will definitely come down to our internal party negotiation and NEC guidelines,” she stated.

She stressed that the ADC’s primary concern is rescuing Nigeria from its current challenges and prioritising the nation’s interests over personal ambitions.

According to her, the pact uniting Atiku, Obi, and Amaechi goes beyond individual goals and is anchored on their shared commitment to rebuilding Nigeria.

“The pact to save and transform Nigeria is what has brought the leaders you have mentioned together, and it will keep them together,” Wayas said.

She further revealed that the ADC is setting up a policy committee to draft a governance blueprint, which will include measurable first-100-days pledges on issues such as the economy, electoral reform, and security.
