Follow the report of the death of Nigerian 22 upcoming artist singer, Destiny Boy.
An X (formerly Twitter) user has claimed that the late Nigerian singer, Destiny Boy, died following complications allegedly linked to a ritual performed in Ogun State, a disclosure that has ignited widespread reactions and debate on social media.
In a lengthy post shared on his verified X page, the user—who identified himself as a close friend of the artiste—said he received a distress call that compelled him to recount events leading up to Destiny Boy’s death.

According to the account, Destiny Boy visited his Lagos residence in early 2020, where he allegedly expressed an intense desire to achieve rapid global success in the music industry, aspiring to surpass established stars such as Davido, Wizkid and Olamide.

“I advised him to be patient and trust in God’s timing, believing that success achieved the right way lasts longer,” the user wrote.
He claimed that Destiny Boy later insisted he could no longer wait and introduced the idea of meeting a traditional priest in Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State, identified as Baba Ikudaisi, also known as Ikudaisi Osha. The user alleged that he and other friends accompanied the singer to the meeting.
The X user further claimed that the priest agreed to conduct a ritual that would allegedly make Destiny Boy famous for five years, during which “the whole world will know his name and stream his songs,” but did not disclose any consequences attached to the act.
Tragedy, he said, struck when he received a call from another singer, Bolisco, informing him that Destiny Boy had taken ill.
“I rushed to his house immediately, but by the time I arrived, he had already passed away,” the post stated.
The user concluded by expressing regret over his role, describing it as a failure to stand firm in his earlier counsel, and offered prayers for the late singer’s soul.
As of press time, no official statement has been issued by Destiny Boy’s family, management, or law enforcement authorities to confirm or refute the claims.+Load full details
