The Federal Government is strengthening efforts to build a digitally competent workforce as more than fifty-four thousand civil servants are being equipped with on-job-relevant digital competencies under the Digital Literacy for All Workforce Programme.
Chimdimma Ndubisi reports that the programme, run by the National Information Technology Development Agency in collaboration with the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, is part of efforts to meet the present administration’s mid term target of having 70% Nigerians digitally literate by 2027.
To be part of the training, civil servants are to contact their Organizations’ Champions and join through the link that will be provided in their emails.
To incentivize participation, thirty-five laptops were presented to civil servants who successfully completed the training within the stipulated timeframe.
