The Majority Leader of the House of Representatives, Alhassan Doguwa, has explained why he appeared in viral videos showing him dancing and jumping around in London.
Doguwa said the videos were not for fun but a message to his political rivals in Kano, especially those from Doguwa and Tudun Wada, who have turned politics into hostility.
“I went to London at a time when I wanted to send a message to my political opponents. I wanted them to know that despite everything, I remain the true representative of Doguwa and Tudun Wada. Whether they like it or not, I’m here standing strong, even in London,” he said.
He added that he wasn’t new to traveling abroad but chose to make the videos this time to deliberately show his critics that he was doing well.
“I’m not new to visiting London or other foreign countries. I only felt this was the right time to let them see me from the front and back, I am doing fine,” Doguwa said confidently.
Recently, videos of the lawmaker posing for the camera from all angles has cracked netisans up.
In one video, Hon. Doguwa wasu seen touching a decorative plant outside a hotel, in another he was eating apple in a toilet of his hotel room.
However, Doguwa insisted that this is a clear message to his enemies, as they are aware that he is powerful when it comes to representation.
