Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has commissioned over 300 motorbikes for security agencies across the state as part of his administration’s efforts to enhance public safety and curb criminal activities.
The motorbikes, deployed across the three senatorial districts, are expected to enable security operatives to penetrate remote and forested areas often exploited by criminals as hideouts.
Speaking during the commissioning earlier this week, Governor Okpebholo reaffirmed his administration’s zero-tolerance stance on crime.
“Let me be clear: criminals have no hiding place in Edo State. Under my watch, we will continue to strengthen our security system, maintain it, and ensure peace and safety for every Edo citizen,” he declared.
The initiative is part of the governor’s broader strategy to modernize Edo’s security architecture and ensure that law enforcement agencies are adequately equipped to respond swiftly to threats.
