Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission EFCC, Uyo Zonal Directorate, on Monday, August 25, 2025, arrested seven suspected internet fraudsters in an early hour sting operation at Uyeh Heaven and Ayam Estates, along Ring Road 3 in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.
They were arrested following actionable intelligence on their suspected involvement in internet crimes.
Items recovered from the suspects include five laptops, 10 mobile phones, and one iPad.
