The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has disclosed that it recovered a total of ₦566.3 billion over the past two years.
The EFCC Chairman, Ola Olukoyede, made this known while presenting the agency’s performance report, highlighting the Commission’s intensified anti-corruption drive under his leadership.
According to him, the Commission received 15,724 petitions within the period under review, out of which 12,928 cases were thoroughly investigated.
Olukoyede further revealed that the EFCC dismissed 55 staff members within the same timeframe over various cases of misconduct and ethical breaches.
He reiterated the Commission’s commitment to upholding integrity, transparency, and professionalism in the ongoing fight against financial crimes.
