Eid-al-Adha: Fubara Celebrate Wife, Sends Message To Muslims Community

The suspended governor of Rivers State, Siminalayi Fubara has congratulated Muslims across the state and the country over the Eid-al-Adha celebration.

In a Sallah message issued by Nelson Chukwudi, his Chief Press Secretary, Fubara urged all Muslims in Rivers and the globe to imbibe the spirit of obedience, sacrifice and faith throughout the season.

Considering the challenges faced by Nigeria, the suspended governor urged the Muslims in the state to use the Eid celebration as an opportunity to pray to God for peace, unity and progress of the nation.

On behalf of his family, Fubara urged the Muslims to stay committed to the teachings of the prophet and love one another.

The statement said, β€œThe governor, speaking on behalf of his wife and family, encouraged the Muslim community to recommit themselves to the principles of sacrifice, faith, and obedience.”

He also reiterated the need for determined action by Nigerians towards a shared vision or determined action for the good of the country.

Fubara urged the Muslims to ensure they show kindness to others, especially the poor and vulnerable ones and where necessary reach out in reconciliation and forgiveness.

He also called on the people to ensure they build stronger ties within and outside their immediate communities.

On the political challenges rocking the state, Fubara assured Rivers residents that actions being taken would bring stability to the state.
