Ekiti Police Arraign Two For Stealing Pumping Machine

Two persons have been charged to court by the Ekiti State Police Command for allegedly stealing pumping machine worth N120,000, belonging to one Mr Dada Ojo, of Ayetoro-Ekiti, in Ido/Osi local government area of the state.

The accused, Ogunmola Damilola, 32, and Durodola Samuel, 22, who appeared at the Chief Magistrate court sitting in Ado-Ekiti, according to the Prosecutor, Inspector Akinwale Oriyomi, were arraigned for an alleged for stealing.

Oriyomi told the court that the defendants on September 9 at 02:00 pm in Ayetoro-Ekiti within Ido-Ekiti Magisterial District, committed the offence punishable under Section 421, 302(a) of the Criminal Law of Ekiti State 2021.

Counsel to the defendants, Barrister Adegolaju Ayobioloja, prayed the court to admit his clients to bail, assuring that they will not jump bail.

The Chief Magistrate, Mr. Abayomi Adeosun, granted them bail in the sum of N100,000 with one surety.

The case was adjourned till November 10 for hearing.
