Newcastle United could be alert to Endrick’s situation ahead of the January window as they might plot a move for the young striker.

According to Fichajes, Endrick is a target for Newcastle United ahead of the January window, as they could plot a move for the young striker. The 19-year-old wonderkid may see his minutes further diminish this season, as he may want to pick up the pace and play regularly either at the Santiago Bernabeu or somewhere else.

Endrick’s future will be a big question for Real Madrid to answer, as they kept hold of the 19-year-old wonderkid during the summer. Last season, he was playing at regular intervals, notching up 37 appearances across all competitions, but the minutes incurred were nowhere close to signifying he was a key star.

While he envisaged a better role in the upcoming campaign under Xabi Alonso, the Club World Cup campaign has changed the dynamics for the Brazilian. The emergence of Gonzalo Garcia during the summer tournament has seemingly pushed the Spaniard ahead of the 19-year-old Brazilian, which has seen Endrick play no role so far this season.

Garcia himself had Premier League teams showing an interest during the summer, but Real Madrid did not consider selling him at all costs. Hence, the question goes back to the club about Endrick’s immediate future, especially if his current situation does not change.

There were barely any clubs keen to sign him during the summer, apart from some loose talk of a potential loan exit to gain experience elsewhere. The talk of a temporary deal could be back on the table, as Newcastle United are linked with a move for the 19-year-old wonderkid.

Newcastle United to explore Endrick move?

Newcastle United are well stocked in their striker department after the signings of Nick Woltemade and Yoane Wissa by the end of the transfer window. However, they are not opposed to looking at an additional option, such as Endrick, if he were made available.

The magpies have a long season to maneuver, and believe someone like Endrick can get used to the pace of the Premier League. Signing him would be a good move for either club, especially if Eddie Howe can provide the 19-year-old with plenty of minutes between January and the end of the campaign.

Ultimately, any decision on the striker’s future will depend on Real Madrid, who are expected to assess.
