Speaking in a statement on Tuesday, Peter Obi said he is supporting Moghalu’s ambition because his campaign manifesto places human development at the heart of governance.
He added that Moghalu, who is the Labour Party candidate for the Anambra gubernatorial election, is committed to implementing policies that directly impact the lives of citizens.
Obi praised the LP governorship candidate as a competent contestant who has demonstrated values of true leadership and is capable of securing a brighter and more dignified future for the people of Anambra.
He wrote on 𝕏 , “Over the weekend, I joined George Moghalu, the Labour Party’s governorship candidate, at a town hall meeting and campaign in Nimo, Anambra Central Senatorial Zone.
“Together with the Obidient family, I fully support @MoghaluGeorge because his campaign manifesto places human development at the heart of governance. He is committed to strengthening security, advancing education, improving healthcare, and lifting our people out of poverty—at a time when the safety of lives and property, as well as the future of our children’s education, remain critical concerns.
“Above all, beyond competence, George Moghalu has consistently demonstrated capacity, compassion, and character—the essential values of true leadership. We are confident that under his guidance, Anambra will not only make progress but also achieve meaningful improvements in the human development index, securing a brighter and more dignified future for our people.”
