President Bola Tinubu has publicly praised Nuhu Ribadu, describing him as “honest, bold, courageous and committed” in the fight against terrorrism and banditry.
Speaking on Monday in Yola during the inauguration of projects completed by the Adamawa State Government, Tinubu said Ribadu is doing an “excellent job” coordinating national security efforts and expressed confidence that Nigeria would overcome insecurity under his leadership.
“I must say clearly here that you are doing an excellent job, and we have seen the results. With you, we will defeat the bandits and terrorists,” the president said, adding that both he and the people of Adamawa are proud of the NSA, who hails from the state.
Tinubu’s endorsement comes amid ongoing tensions between Ribadu and former Kaduna governor, Nasir el-Rufai.
The developments have intensified political scrutiny around the nation’s security leadership, even as the president continues to publicly affirm his confidence in Ribadu’s performance.
