A former Liverpool midfielder who was named the Bundesliga’s biggest flop and suspended by his club is now set to make a surprise transfer move to Hungary.

Playing 129 times in total for the Reds after signing from RB Leipzig, Keita was often injured and didn’t fulfill his potential. And after leaving Liverpool, things have gone downhill for him.
Joining Werder Bremen in Germany — a surprise move given how highly rated he was in the Bundesliga before he moved to the Premier League — he was voted the biggest flop of last season by his fellow players. Accused of refusing to get on the team coach to a game against Bayer Leverkusen, he was also suspended by his own club, though he denied that the story was true.
Keita underwent a medical with Turkish side Hatayspor over the summer, but the player turned down the move. He ended up staying with Werder Bremen but is now set to make a surprise switch to Hungary.
According to Sky Germany, negotiations are going “very well” regarding a surprise move to Ferencvaros in Budapest. Keita has played just five times for Werder Bremen in total, starting only once due to a mixture of both injury and suspension. Still only 29, he should still have plenty of years left in the game.
