FCT Minister Nyesom Wike has urged President Tinubu to release the NDDC forensic audit report, claiming it implicates ex-Transport Minister Rotimi Amaechi.
In a Channels TV interview, Wike said he would resign if the report is made public and Amaechi is not indicted.
“I call on Mr President to release the forensic audit of the NDDC. If what I am saying is not in that report, I will resign as FCT Minister. I don’t worship office,” Wike said.
FCT Minister Wike, amid his feud with Amaechi, accused the former minister’s wife of receiving NDDC contracts under questionable terms.
“Amaechi’s wife was receiving N4 billion every month to train Niger Delta women. That’s N48 billion in one year. She was not an industrialist, yet her company got those funds,” Wike alleged.
He claimed that the audit report was suppressed by former Attorney-General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, to shield those implicated.
“Malami killed the forensic audit to protect those involved. I’m saying, let Mr President do Nigerians a favour and release that document,” Wike said.
