A female officer of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps has reportedly lost her life following a tragic accident during a tactical exercise in the Federal Capital Territory.
The incident occurred during a “show of force” operation carried out by the Corps’ Female Strike Force, also known as the Female Squad.
A 58-second video circulating on social media on Saturday captured the devastating moment. In the footage, a black operational van with red wheels bearing the inscription “Female Squad” was seen moving in formation, with another van labeled “Female Strike Force FCT Command” trailing behind.

During a turn, the lead vehicle reportedly ran over a female officer, trapping her beneath it. Several officers and bystanders were seen rushing to the scene.
In a frantic rescue effort, they lifted the van to free the injured officer before she was moved into a waiting ambulance.

Although the Corps has yet to release an official statement, The Cable reports that NSCDC spokesperson, Afolabi Babawale, confirmed the officer’s death during a telephone conversation on Saturday
