FG Pledges Commitment To Partner With Organised Private Sector To Drive Economic Growth

The Federal Government has reaffirmed its commitment to fostering a robust partnership with the private sector as a cornerstone for driving sustainable economic growth and development.

The Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senetor George Akume, disclosed this disclosure when a delegation of the Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture, NACCIMA, and the Organised Private Sector of Nigeria, OPSN, led by its President and Chairman, Engr. Jani Ibrahim, paid him a courtesy visit in Abuja.

Senetor Akume acknowledged the critical role of collaborative efforts between the public and private sectors in unlocking Nigeria’s economic potentials.

He affirmed that the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, under the Renewed Hope Agenda, is deeply committed to creating an enabling environment for businesses and industries to grow and expand, in order to re-energise the economy, deepen local production, and promote inclusive prosperity across all sectors.

President of NACCIMA and Chairman of OPSN, Engr. Jani Ibrahim, asserted that the organisation has aligned with the Renewed Hope Agenda to develop national initiatives, such as the NACCIMA Green Initiative, which targets the planting of one billion economic trees across Nigeria’s states, in partnership with the federal and state governments, development agencies, and corporate institutions.

The initiative aims to promote climate resilience, environmental sustainability, and rural employment.
