FG Reopens YEIDEP Portal For Youths To Access ₦500,000 Business Grant – See Apply Now

The Federal Government has reopened the application portal for the 2025 Youth Economic Intervention and De-Radicalisation Programme (YEIDEP) after months of delay.

LeadNaija News reports that the initiative is designed to empower young Nigerians with business funding, skill training, and mentorship to help them become self-reliant and reduce unemployment.

The reopening comes as part of the government’s continued effort to support youth entrepreneurship and curb poverty through targeted financial assistance.

Through the scheme, eligible applicants can receive between ₦50,000 and ₦500,000 to start or grow their businesses in selected sectors.

According to information released by the organisers, YEIDEP is open to Nigerian citizens between the ages of 18 and 35 who have valid NIN and BVN numbers and maintain accounts with Lotus Bank, Keystone Bank, or Fidelity Bank.

Interested individuals must also show genuine interest in one of the approved sectors, which include agriculture, fashion, technology, entertainment, sports, renewable energy, and other productive industries.

Beneficiaries of the programme will not only receive financial support but also undergo entrepreneurship training, mentorship, and access to enterprise development services aimed at building long-term sustainability.

Applicants are required to complete their registration through the official YEIDEP portal and are advised to follow the scheme’s verified Facebook page for authentic updates and guidance.

The initiative was earlier postponed due to cases of fraud, where scammers tried to extort money from unsuspecting applicants.

With the reopening, the government has assured participants of a transparent and secure process to ensure genuine beneficiaries get the intended support.
