A fresh legal battle has emerged between the family of former Kaduna State governor, Nasir El-Rufai, and the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission, ICPC, following allegations of defamation.

Politics Nigeria reports that Aichatou El-Rufai, wife of the former governor, has threatened court action against the anti-graft agency over statements published in an official press release issued on May 18, 2026.
