Senior Pastor of the Second Coming of Christ Ministry, Adewale Giwa has declared that if the President of the United States, Donald Trump succumbed to pressure and failed to wipe out terrorists in Nigeria, God would send someone else.
He stated this while delivering his sermon at his Church in Akure, Ondo State capital, on Sunday.
The maverick cleric wondered why the federal government turned down the offer of USA government to help fight terrorism in the country when it has failed to tame the perpetrators and their sponsors.
He expressed disgust in the Muslim/Muslim ticket of the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his deputy, Kashim Shettima.
He condemned the killings by terrorists, noting that it had got to the point that in some parts in North, no one dared open a church for service.
Giwa said: “The only challenge that we face in Nigeria as Christians is persecution from political leaders and Islamic terrorists. Look at what is currently going on in the Northern part of the country. You can’t dare open a church in some areas; the Islamic terrorists would invade it and kill worshippers.
“Let me tell you, I knew this would happen, and that was why I kicked against Muslim-Muslim ticket before 2023 presidential election. But, these politicians made their way through a substantial amount of money given to some religious leaders to support them.
“Now, we have the president who is a moslem and the deputy also a moslem. This has never happened since Nigeria returned to a democratic nation.
“In 1999, Olusegun Obasanjo was a Christian while he had a Muslim vice president, Atiku Abubakar. Late Umaru Musa Yar’adua, a Muslim president, but had Goodluck Jonathan as vice president (Christian). Also, when Goodluck Jonathan became a president, he picked Namadi Sambo( Moslem) as his deputy.
“The late Muhammadu Buhari, Moslem, he picked Professor Yemi Osinbajo (Christian) as his deputy.
“I knew Muslim-Muslim ticket would spell doom for Nigeria. Now, they are doing everything possible to islamize Nigeria, and God won’t allow them to succeed. The 2025 total budget for security is N4.91 trillion, what are they doing with the money?
“The president of the United States is saying he wants to help us defeat the Islamic terrorists, but our government is not cooperating.
“Why is it difficult not to allow the US military action against terrorists? That means something is fishy.
“President Bola Tinubu needs to further convince Nigerians about what Hajiya Nàja’atu Mohammed said regarding his vice president, Kashim Shettima and Ali Modu Sherriff that we should hold them responsible for terrorism.
“Why is the presidency running helter-skelter to stop the US military invasion. The Bible says a wicked person flees when no one is chasing him, but righteous people are as bold as lions.
“However, if they eventually succeed not to allow President Donald Trump to help Nigerians, God will raise someone else one day that will put an end to the activities of Islamic terrorists in Nigeria.
