Minister of Works, Dave Umahi, stated that he received a divine revelation confirming that God’s “mighty hands” are upon President Bola Tinubu. He made the remarks during the opening of the Eke Obinagu–Emene flyover, a project aimed at reducing traffic congestion ahead of Easter.
Umahi said the Southeast region is no longer marginalized and now has active representation in the current administration. He highlighted key positions held by the region, including his role as Minister of Works and the appointment of two service chiefs.
“God has spoken to me that His mighty hands are upon President Bola Tinubu. Our people must be strategic. The marginalization we’re talking about is over. For the first time, we’re in the helm of affairs,” Umahi said.
While acknowledging the Southeast’s aspiration to produce a future president, he stressed the importance of supporting the current administration.
He also claimed that governors in the region back Tinubu’s leadership. Umahi urged political leaders in the Southeast to openly declare their support and mobilize constituents.
