Tiger Woods, the legendary American golfer and one of the greatest in the sport’s history, was arrested in Jupiter, Florida, after his Range Rover rolled onto its side during a high-speed crash.
The incident occurred around 2 PM ET when a pickup truck was turning into a driveway on a two-lane street. According to Martin County Sheriff John Budensiek, Tiger’s vehicle was speeding and clipped the pickup, causing the rollover.
Wearing a blue shirt and shorts, Tiger climbed out of the passenger window before deputies arrived. Officers observed that he appeared impaired and lethargic. An alcohol test returned 0.00%, with Sheriff Budensiek noting the impairment was likely due to medication rather than alcohol.
Tiger refused a urine test and was booked on charges of DUI and refusal to submit to urinalysis. He is expected to spend a minimum of 8 hours in jail before bail. Neither Tiger nor the pickup driver was injured in the crash.
This is Tiger’s second DUI arrest in Jupiter, Florida, following a 2017 incident where he cited prescribed medications as the cause of impairment. He also survived a 2021 rollover crash in Los Angeles County, which did not lead to an arrest.
