Understand Your Hair Type

Knowing your hair type is essential because it determines what your hair needs and what you should avoid. Most hair types respond well to oils, but some do not. This may be due to a very sensitive scalp or one that dries out quickly, leading to dandruff or itching. There’s no need to panic. The remedies listed below are generally suitable for all hair types.

The first step to fixing hairline loss is understanding what caused it. There are many reasons women experience receding hairlines. Hormonal changes are a common cause, and in many cases, doctors can help correct them.

If you’ve recently given birth, hair loss around the hairline is often temporary. Many women notice shedding six to nine months after childbirth. While this is normal, it still needs attention. Continuing prenatal vitamins after giving birth can help strengthen hair and reduce excessive shedding.
Remove Semi-Permanent Hair Extensions

Constant pulling and added weight on the hair can also lead to hairline recession. Glue-in or tape-in extensions placed too close to the hairline can cause significant tension. Over time, this stress can damage the scalp, causing hair follicles to weaken or stop producing hair altogether. Loosen tight hairstyles and allow your scalp to breathe. If you often wear ponytails or updos, try loosening them or taking breaks from these styles to reduce tension.
