A significant traffic bottleneck has developed Monday morning along the busy Kugbo‑Nyanya stretch of the Abuja‑Keffi highway, as commuter traffic mixes with preparations for a planned protest centred around the detained activist Nnamdi Kanu.
Motorists heading into the FCT from the Kugbo/Nyanya axis report slow movement, with several lanes reportedly blocked by parked vehicles and protest‑related activity.
Historically this corridor has been vulnerable to disruptions: for example, heavy traffic and blocked lanes due to security checks during protests and security operations in the past.
