Popular Nollywood actor Sanyeri has expressed regret over not taking his education seriously while growing up, revealing that he once believed he was attending school only to please his parents.
The comic actor, whose real name is Olaniyi Afonja, said he stopped his education after secondary school because he lacked focus and did not plan to pursue further studies at the time.
Speaking on his past decisions, Sanyeri admitted that the choice has remained one of his biggest regrets.
“Today, I regret not listening to my parents because when I was younger, they sent me to school and I thought I was attending school for them,” he said.
The actor explained that he did not concentrate on his studies while in school and had no intention of continuing his education beyond the secondary level.
“I didn’t concentrate, nor did I plan to further my education. I stopped at the secondary level, but today I seriously regret it,” he added.
Despite the regret, the Nollywood star said he is grateful to God for the opportunity to return to school later in life.
“If I had known, I would have attended classes more seriously and it would have impacted my career. Still, I give glory to God that I have proceeded to school now,” he said.See, More. .
