Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Abdullahi Ibrahim, has accused the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, of embarrassing the party with his repeated interference.

LeadNaija News reports that Ibrahim made this known during an interview with Arise News on Wednesday.

Ibrahim said Wike’s decision to issue six conditions ahead of the party’s forthcoming national convention was outrageous, especially as he is currently serving in an All Progressives Congress (APC) government.

The PDP spokesman explained that while he once supported Wike’s stance against the party’s zoning arrangement before the 2023 elections, the minister’s actions have now gone beyond genuine concerns.

According to Ibrahim, the PDP must protect its image and unity by resisting any further attempts at blackmail or distraction.

He said, “Why are you coming up with six conditions?

“You are giving PDP conditions, and the entire country is laughing at us all because of one individual who is on the APC’s payroll. Enough is enough. We have to draw the line; he cannot continue like this.

“I have spoken up for him more than anyone else in this party, justifying his stand against the zoning formula in 2023. I have supported him in many battles. But there comes a time when a responsible person must stop.”
