Popular nightlife entrepreneur, Pascal Okechukwu, widely known as Cubana Chief Priest, has addressed online criticism over his absence at the lavish Miami wedding of his close friend, music star Davido, and Chioma Rowland.
In a lengthy Instagram post, Chief Priest explained that visa issues prevented him from traveling to the United States for the highly anticipated event.
“Woke up this morning with mixed feelings. I’m happy and still sad at the same time. Sometimes God has a way of making you understand that you are powerless regardless of all you may think you have. I appreciate the bashing because it has given me more reasons to apply again. @usinnigeria, do it for me this time,” he wrote.
Expressing deep disappointment, he urged the U.S. authorities to grant him access, noting that “the world is hurt” by his absence at the ceremony.
Despite not being physically present, Chief Priest revealed that his family, including his wife, attended the wedding on his behalf, allowing him to be “there in body and spirit.”
He ended on a hopeful note:
“Delay is never denial… I’m in again next week, please give me access to the greatest country in the world. This pain is really paining.”
