The Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) has announced a review of passport application fees, with the new rates set to take effect from September 1, 2025.
According to the new structure, applications made within Nigeria will now attract N100,000 for a 32-page passport with five-year validity and N200,000 for a 64-page passport with 10-year validity.
The Service, however, clarified that passport fees for Nigerians in the diaspora remain unchanged. Applications abroad will continue at $150 for the 32-page passport with five-year validity and $230 for the 64-page passport with 10-year validity.
The NIS explained that the review is aimed at improving service delivery and sustaining reforms in passport administration.
