This came after Kanu expressed his frustration during the last court session, questioning why his case seemed to be handled differently by the judges. Nwodo emphasized that Kanu feels he is not being treated equally to others advocating for different regions.
In Okwesilieze’s words, “I think he was making a case of somebody who has reached the end of the road—High Court, Appeal Court, Supreme Court—coming back again and going forth, not being sure that the judges overseeing his matter are fair to him.”
“When you put it side by side with other people who are advocating for their rights to self-governance in Nigeria, you will get the impression that he is not being treated on the same platform as others, those from Oduduwa State and he who is advocating for Biafra. And that makes us in the South-East feel that this is another demonstration of the marginalization of our people, that we are not being treated as well as others.
