JOB Alert: Lagos SUBEB Opens Recruitment Portal For Qualified Teachers

Lagos State Universal Basic Education Board, LASUBEB, has officially commenced its recruitment exercise for qualified applicants seeking teaching positions across the state.

In a statement issued by its Executive Chairman, LASUBEB disclosed that the exercise received the approval of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu as part of the administration’s drive to enhance the standard of education in Lagos.

“With the kind approval of Mr Governor, the Lagos State Universal Basic Education Board, LASUBEB, hereby announces the activation of its application portal for interested and qualified candidates who are ready to contribute to the delivery of quality education in the state,” the statement read.

The application process is strictly online and accessible via https://subebjobs.lagosstate.gov.ng, as physical submissions will not be accepted.

Eligibility requirements

The recruitment is open to candidates with any of the following qualifications:

  1. Nigeria Certificate in Education, NCE
  2. B.A (Ed)
  3. B.Sc (Ed)
  4. B.Ed
  5. HND + PGDE
  6. B.A + PGDE
  7. B.Sc + PGDE
  8. M.Ed / M.Sc (Ed)

Applicants are also expected to upload:

  1. O’ Level Certificate (WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB)
  2. NCE or Degree Certificate
  3. NYSC Discharge or Exemption Certificate (where applicable)

Available vacancy and deadline

At present, the only advertised position is Classroom Teacher. The application window closes on 13th October 2025, while the recruitment portal will officially shut down on 14th October 2025.

LASUBEB warned that the exercise is entirely free of charge, urging applicants to beware of fraudulent schemes.
