Philippine authorities have warned the public to be cautious after a food influencer reportedly died from consuming a poisonous crustacean known as a “devil crab.”

The victim, 51-year-old Emma Amit, allegedly ate the toxic shellfish while filming content for social media, according to Viral Press.

In the video, Amit and her friends were seen harvesting shellfish from a mangrove forest on February 4 near her home in Puerto Princesa, a coastal town in Palawan.
