Suspected gunmen have killed three people and abducted a Catholic priest alongside at least 10 others during a fresh attack on Karku community in Kauru Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
The attack occurred in the early hours of Saturday, at about 3:20 a.m., at the residence of Rev. Fr. Nathaniel Asuwaye, the parish priest of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Karku, under the Catholic Diocese of Kafanchan.
The Chancellor of the Diocese, Rev. Fr. Jacob Shanet, said the attackers, described by residents as terrorists, arrived in an organised manner and overran the community.
He confirmed that three residents Mr. Jacob Dan’azumi, Mr. Maitala Kaura and Alhaji Kusari were k+lled in the attack.
