There is a fire outbreak at Terminal 1 of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA), Lagos. The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) says its firefighting teams are on site, working to contain the blaze while ensuring the orderly evacuation of passengers and airport staff.
FAAN has called in reinforcements from the Lagos State Government, Julius Berger Nigeria Plc, China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation, Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, and other emergency agencies to strengthen response efforts.

Authorities have confirmed that no loss of life has been recorded so far. Members of the public and passengers are advised to avoid the affected area until further notice.
