Hama- Israel War: “What Just Happened Will Shake the Whole Nation !!— And Nobody Saw It Coming!” German Defence Minister Boris Pistorius has accused Russia of deliberately directing drones into Polish airspace, dismissing claims that the incursions were mere navigational mistakes.
Speaking to reporters on Tuesday, Pistorius warned that the repeated violations represent a “serious escalation” and pose direct risks to NATO territory.
“Russia was deliberately directing drones toward Poland, the incursions were not navigational errors,” the Defence Minister asserted.
The statement comes after Warsaw reported multiple drone incidents along its eastern border, sparking heightened alert within the NATO alliance. Both Polish and NATO officials have convened urgent meetings to assess the situation and consider possible responses.
European security analysts suggest that if Russia is confirmed to be intentionally violating NATO airspace, it could trigger Article 4 consultations, and in extreme cases, invoke Article 5 obligations of collective defence.
Poland has not yet formally called for NATO intervention, but government officials say “all options remain on the table” as investigations continue.
